Opportunities for Sponsorship

The annual GTAQ conference, ‘Geography in the 21st Century’ will take place on Friday 27th and Saturday 28th July at the University of Queensland, St Lucia. On Friday 27th July, teachers will participate in a number of fieldwork opportunities. Saturday 28th July will be the main conference. Sponsors are also invited to attend the conference dinner on Friday 27th July.

GTAQ anticipates over 150 delegates will attend this important conference which will deliver a first-class professional development for Primary School, Middle School and Senior Geography teachers from across Queensland. The program will provide the latest on local and global issues and demonstrate best practice in the teaching and learning of Geography. Needless to say the National Curriculum will be the main focus.

Sponsorship of the 2012 Conference represents an opportunity to reach an important group of teachers who shape the delivery of Middle School and Senior Geography in Queensland. The Conference will feature guest speakers who will contribute to workshops challenging delegates to explore issues relating to climate change, biodiversity, global development, disease and geographical skills.   • To be recognised as the major sponsor for the conference on the GTAQ website and all appropriate publications. Gold sponsor logo to be larger than other logos and of equal size to the GTAQ logo on all publications/materials
  • Naming rights for the Keynote Address
  • Invitation to have 5 minute timeslot at the conference to present products/company
  • Invitation to provide conference bags, T shirts, conference pens, USB thumb drives, other promotional material incorporating a variation of the logo above

Trade Display                         (Limited Number of Displays)
There will be an opportunity for publishers and other interested parties to display their products in the foyer of the Abel Smith Building at the University of Queensland, St. Lucia.

  • Please note: Stands will be allocated in order of receipt of booking application form and full payment. Late exhibitors may NOT be listed in the Conference program.

Satchel insert of promotional material $50 – 2 items max
  •  Distribution of company promotional material to all delegates via conference satchel
  • Examples of accepted promotional materials for distribution include:  2 only booklet-style brochures, pens, 2 only flyers, mouse pads, key rings, 1 DVD, 1 CD
  • Any additional satchel additions must be approved by the Conference Convenor
